Responsibilities

  • Attending the meetings of the Senate and those of Senate committees on which he or she is a member;
  • Utilizing his or her skills and experience to assist in the work of the Senate;
  • Actively striving for the benefit of the University in view of the University’s activities;
  • Not using the position for one’s own gain or of someone else, or for the detriment of the University or someone else;
  • Being protective of the information gained through the privilege of the position and not using it for one’s own gain or of someone else, or for the detriment of the University or someone else;
  • Informing the President of the Senate in case there is a conflict of interest with regard to an issue under discussion in a Senate meeting and subsequently not attending the session. Subsequently, if the President requires his or her participation in the meeting, to not vote on the issue.
  • Making decisions for the benefit of the University in cases where decisions are made on business issues, making such decisions without gain for oneself, and using all relevant information available to himself or herself in doing so;
  • Carrying out all tasks assigned to him or her as a member of the Senate with due care, thoughtfully and positively, and attending to the responsibilities and tasks assigned by the Senate.
