The Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) recently concluded its annual Quran festival, "Mahrajanul Quranil Kareem," marking a historic milestone for the nation's religious education. Organized by the Kulliyyah of Quran and Sunnah, the 1447 AH event featured a diverse range of recitations from both local and international Qaris, alongside scholarly presentations on Tafsir and the scientific aspects of fasting. Dean Al-Ustadh Mohamed Mansoor highlighted the gathering as a vital platform for the public to engage with the miraculous nature of the Holy Quran and its various Qira’at.
This year's festival was particularly significant as it celebrated the first three students to achieve an Ijaza (certification) through a newly established program. Developed in collaboration with professors from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University, this program allows Maldivian students to connect their recitation via a Sanad—an unbroken chain of narrators—directly back to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The successful completion of this course by the inaugural group represents a major academic achievement for the Maldives, further cementing IUM’s role in advancing Quranic sciences and fostering community awareness during the holy month of Ramadan.
ވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އިސްލާމީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ (އައި.ޔޫ.އެމް) ގެ ކުއްލިއްޔާ އޮފް ޤުރުއާން އެންޑް ސުންނާއިން އިންތިޒާމުކޮށްގެން ކޮންމެ އަހަރަކު ބާއްވަމުން އަންނަ "މަހްރަޖާނުލް ޤުރުއާނިލް ކަރީމް" 1447 ވަނަ އަހަރުގެ ބައި ކާމިޔާބުކަމާއެކު ނިންމާލައިފިއެވެ. ރާއްޖޭގެ ދީނީ ތަޢުލީމީ ދާއިރާގައި ތާރީޚީ ކުރިއެރުންތަކެއް ފެނިގެންދިޔަ މި މަހްރަޖާންގައި، ރާއްޖެއާއި ރާއްޖޭން ބޭރުގެ މަޝްހޫރު ޤާރީންގެ ކިޔެވުންތަކުގެ އިތުރުން، ތަފްސީރު ޢިލްމާއި ރޯދައާއި ސައިންސާ ގުޅޭ ޢިލްމީ މަޢުލޫމާތުތައް ވަނީ ޢާއްމުންނަށް ފޯރުކޮށްދީފައެވެ.
މިއަހަރުގެ މަހްރަޖާން ޚާއްޞަވެގެންދިޔަ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ސަބަބަކީ، ރާއްޖޭގައި މުޅިން އަލަށް ފެށި "އިޖާޒާ ޕްރޮގްރާމް" ފުރިހަމަކުރި ފުރަތަމަ ތިން ދަރިވަރުންނަށް ސަނަދު އެރުވުމެވެ. މިސްރުގެ އަލް-އަޒްހަރު ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގެ ޕްރޮފެސަރުންގެ އެހީތެރިކަމާއެކު ހިންގި މި ޕްރޮގްރާމަކީ، މާތް ނަބިއްޔާ ﷺ އާ ހަމައަށް މެދުކެނޑުމެއްނެތް ސަނަދަކުން (Sanad) ގުޅާލެވޭ ގޮތަށް ޤުރުއާން ކިޔަވަން ދަސްކޮށްދޭ ކޯހެކެވެ.
