Overview
Centre for Continuing Education was established in December 2018 after merging Centre for Foundation Studies and Language Learning Centre. The objective of establishing CCE was providing university preparation programs for students pursuing undergraduate studies and managing and coordinating all academic programs of the university in the IUM Learning Centres established in the atolls. However, in January 2020, management of administrative tasks and academic coordination of academic programs have been handed over to IUM Holdings Private Limited and the respective Kulliyahs/Centres.
CCE prepares the students for entry into higher education by giving them a solid foundation in the areas of their choice. CCE currently prepares students to undertake courses in the areas of Quranic Studies, Shari’ah and Law, English Language, Business Management, Imaamship and Teaching. All programs which prepare students for undergraduate studies are one-year long and comprises of two semesters that will prepare students for a smooth transition to university studies.
In addition, CCE provides courses for adult or mature learners and other prospective students who may be interested in doing short courses. These courses are ranged from certificate levels 1 to 3 and include areas such as Qira’ath al-Quran, English Language and Imaamship. These courses have a duration of one semester or less in a few courses.
English language courses offered at CCE are aimed for adult learners who do not have an English language background. These programs range from certificate levels 1 to 3 and beginning with the use of language for basic needs and extending to the use of language for general purposes in a range of contexts. We also offer a certificate level 4 English language program relevant to the hospitality industry. It teaches the basic communication skills needed to communicate in a variety of different work situations in the tourism industry.
Further, students at this centre will experience learning in a university learning environment and develop their self-esteem through the activities conducted at the university.

I welcome you to the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). The aim of CCE is to prepare students for the undergraduate courses in the university in various disciplines, and provide other courses that will prepare students to pursue formal university education.
At CCE, we offer a number of programs to address your needs. If you are seeking to do an undergraduate degree but do not meet the entry requirements of the degree, we can assist you to fulfil that requirement. Our Advanced Certificate level courses are designed to provide students with the fundamental understanding of relevant disciplines, and literacy and numeracy skills that are required to pursue an undergraduate degree in the university. These courses offer study skills in both English and Dhivehi language and basic Arabic literacy skills. In addition, these programs offer a particular core module for inculcating Islamic values and ethics in our students.
Furthermore, we provide courses for adult learners and other prospective candidates in the area of Qira’ath al-Quran, English Language and Imaamship. These courses are mainly designed for people who are interested in pursuing higher studies but may not have completed formal education. We further endeavor to offer short courses on professional development in a variety of areas, foreign languages and personal enrichment.

ސެންޓަރ ފޯ ކޮންޓިނިއުއިންގ އެޑިޔުކޭޝަން (ސީސީއީ) އަކީ ކުރީގެ ސެންޓަރ ފޯ ފައުންޑޭޝަން ސްޓަޑީޒްއާއި ލޭންގުވިޖް ލާރނިންގ ސެންޓަރާ އެއްކޮށްލައިގެން އުފައްދާފައިވާ ސެންޓަރެކެވެ. ސީސީއީ އުފެއްދުމުގެ މައިގަޑު މަޤުޞަދަކީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގެ އެހެން ކުއްލިއްޔާތަކުން ހިންގާ ޑިޕްލޮމާ އަދި ޑިގްރީ ޕްރޮގްރާމްތަކާއި މަތީ ތަޢުލީމު ހޯދުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޢިލްމާއި ހުނަރުތައް ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމާއި އައިޔޫއެމް ލާރނިންގ ސެންޓަރުތަކުގައި ހިންގާ ކޯސްތައް ވިލަރެސްކޮށް ހިންގުމެވެ. ނަމަވެސް، ޖެނުއަރީ 2020 ގައި ލާރނިންގ ސެންޓަރުތަކުގެ އިދާރީ ހިންގުމާއި ކޯސްތަކުގެ އެކަޑެމިކް މަސައްކަތްތައްވަނީ އައިޔޫއެމް ހޯލްޑިންގްސް ޕްރައިވެޓް ލިމިޓެޑް އަދި އެ ކޯހެއް ނިސްބަތްވާ ކުއްލިއްޔާއަކާ ޙަވާލުކުރެވިފައެވެ.
ސީސީއީގެ ފަރާތުން ދަރިވަރުން ބޭނުންވާ ދާއިރާތަކަށް އަމާޒުކޮށްގެން މަތީ ތަޢުލީމުގެ ފުރުޞަތު ފަހިކޮށްދިނުމުގެ ގޮތުން ތަފާތު ދާއިރާތަކުގެ ކޯސްތައް ހިންގައެވެ. މި ގޮތުން މި ސެންޓަރުގެ ފަރާތުން މިހާރު ޤުރުއާނުގެ ޢިލްމާއި ޝަރީޢާއާއި ޤާނޫނާއި ބިޒްނަސް މެނޭޖްމަންޓާއި އިނގިރޭސި ބަސް، އަދި އިމާމްކަމުގެ ދާއިރާއާއި ކިޔަވައިދިނުމުގެ ދާއިރާތަކުން ފައުންޑޭޝަންގެ ތަފާތު ކޯސްތައް ހިންގައެވެ. މި ކޯސްތަކަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ ސަނަދުތަކުގެ އޮނިގަނޑުގެ ލެވެލް 4 ގެ ކޯސްތަކެކެވެ. އަދި މި ހުރިހާ ކޯސްތަކަކީ 1 އަހަރުދުވަހުގެ (2 ސެމެސްޓަރގެ) ކޯސްތަކެކެވެ. މި ކޯސްތައް ފުރިހަމަކުރާ ދަރިވަރުންނަށް މި ދާއިރާތަކުން ޑިޕްލޮމާ ނުވަތަ ޑިގްރީ ފެންވަރުގެ ކޯސްތަކުގައި ބައިވެރިވުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޢިލްމާއި ހުނަރު ފޯރުކޮށްދެވޭނެއެވެ.
މީގެ އިތުރުން، މި ސެންޓަރުން ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ ސަނަދުތަކުގެ އޮނިގަނޑުގެ ލެވެލް 1، 2 އަދި 3 ގެ ކޯސްތައް ވެސް ހިންގައެވެ. އެގޮތުން، ޤިރާޢަތުލް ޤުރުއާން، އިނގިރޭސި ބަސް އަދި އިމާމުކަމުގެ ދާއިރާއިން މޯލްޑިވްސް ކޮލިފިކޭޝަން އޮތޯރިޓީއިން ޤަބޫލުކުރާ ކޯސްތައް ހިމެނެއެވެ. މީގެތެރެއިން ބައެއް ކޯސްތަކަކީ 1 ސެމެސްޓަރގެ (6 މަސްދުވަހުގެ) އަދި އަނެއްބައި ކޯސްތަކަކީ އެއަށްވުރެ ކުރުމުއްދަތަކަށް ހިންގޭ ކޯސްތަކެކެވެ. އަދި މި ކޯސްތަކަކީ މަދަރުސީ ތަޢުލީމު ޙާޞިލުނުކުރެވި ނުވަތަ ރަސްމީ ތަޢުލީމު ފުރިހަމަ ނުކުރެވި ތިއްބެވި ބޭފުޅުންނާއި ޢުމުރުން ދުވަސްވީ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް ފަސޭހައިން ކުރިއަށްގެންދެވޭ ގޮތަށް ފަރުމާކުރެވިފައިވާ އަދި މަޤުބޫލުކަން ލިބިފައިވާ ކޯސްތަކެކެވެ.
ސެންޓަރ ފޯ ކޮންޓިނިއުއިންގ އެޑިޔުކޭޝަންއަކީ އިނގިރޭސި ބަސް ދަސްކުރުމަށް ޝައުޤުވެރިވެލައްވާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް، ވަކިން ޚާއްޞަކޮށް މަތީ ޢުމުރުފުރައިގެ ބޭފުޅުންގެ ތެރެއިން މިކަމަށް ޝައުޤުވެރިވެލައްވާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް ޚާއްޞަކޮށްގެން އިނގިރޭސި ބަހުގެ ކޯސްތައް ވެސް ކުރިއަށް ގެންދާ ސެންޓަރެކެވެ. އެ ގޮތުން، ސެޓްފިކެޓް ލެވެލް 1 ން ފެށިގެން 3 އަށް ހިންގޭ މި ކޯސްތައް ފަރުމާކުރެވިފައިވަނީ އެންމެ އަސާސީ ބޭނުންތަކަށް އިނގިރޭސި ބަހުން މުޢާމަލާތުކުރަން ދަސްކޮށްދިނުމުން ފެށިގެން ތަފާތު ބޭނުންތަކަށް ތަފާތު ޙާލަތްތަކުގައި އިނގިރޭސި ބަހުން މުޢާމަލާތްކުރަން ދަސްކޮށްދިނުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. މީގެއިތުރުން، ހޮސްޕިޓަލިޓީ އިންޑަސްޓްރީއަށް އަމާޒުކޮށްގެން ވެސް މި ސެންޓަރުން އިނގިރޭސި ބަހުގެ ކޯހެއް ހިންގައެވެ. މި ކޯހުގައި ފަތުރުވެރިކަމުގެ ދާއިރާގެ ތަފާތު ވަޒީފާތަކުގައި މަސައްކަތްކުރަން ބޭނުންވާ ފަރާތްތަކަށް އިނގިރޭސި ބަހުން މުޢާމަލާތްކުރުމުގެ ހުނަރުތައް ދަސްކޮށްދެވޭނެއެވެ.
ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އިސްލާމީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގައި ހިންގޭ ތަފާތު ޢިލްމީ ޙަރަކާތްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން މި ސެންޓަރުގައި ކިޔަވާ ދަރިވަރުންނަށް ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ ވެށްޓެއްގައި އުނގެނުން ތަޖުރިބާކުރެވި، މަތީ ތަޢުލީމަށް ބޭނުންވާ އިތުބާރާއި ޔަޤީންކަން ލިބިދެވޭނެއެވެ.

ސެންޓަރ ފޯރ ކޮންޓިނިއުއިންގ އެޑިޔުކޭޝަން (ސީސީއީ) އަށް މަރުޙަބާ ދަންނަވަމެވެ. ސީސީއީގެ މައިގަނޑު އަމާޒަކީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގެ އެކިއެކި ކުއްލިއްޔާތަކުން ހިންގާ ތަފާތު ދާއިރާތަކުގެ ޑިގްރީ ކޯސްތަކަށް ބޭނުންވާ ފައުންޑޭޝަން ލެވެލް ކޯސްތައް ހިންގުމާއި މަދުރަސީ ތަޢުލީމް ލިބިފައިނުވާ ފަރާތްތައް ޔުނިވަރސިޓީ ތަޢުލީމް އުނގެނުމަށް މަގުފަހި ކޮށްދިނުމަށް ތަފާތު ކޯސްތައް ހިންގުމެވެ.
މި ސެންޓަރުގެ ފަރާތުން ތިޔަބޭފުޅުންނަށް ބޭނުންހިފޭ ތަފާތު ދާއިރާތަކުން ކޯސް ހިންގަމެވެ. ޑިގްރީއަށް ކިޔަވަން ބޭނުންވެފައި ތިއްބެވި ނަމަވެސް ޑިގްރީ ކޯސްތައް ކިޔެވުމަށް ޝަރުތު ހަމަނުވާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް މި ސެންޓަރުގެ ފަރާތުން ތަފާތު ދާއިރާތަކުން ކޯސްތައް ހިންގަމެވެ. މިގޮތުން މި ސެންޓަރުން ހިންގާ އެޑްވާންސްޑް ސެޓްފިކެޓް ކޯސްތަކަކީ ދަރިވަރުން ޑިގްރީއަށް ކިޔަވަން ބޭނުންވާ ދައިރާތަކުން، އެ ކޯސްތަކަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޢިލްމާއި ހުނަރު ލިބިދެވޭގޮތަށް ފަރުމާ ކުރެވިފައިވާ ކޯސްތަކެކެވެ. މިކޯސްތަކުގައި، ސްޓަޑީ ސްކިލްސް އިގިރޭސި ބަހުންނާއި ދިވެހި ބަހުން ކިޔަވައިދޭނެއެވެ. އަދި ޢަރަބި ބަސް ވެސް ކިޔަވައިދޭނެއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން، ދަރިވަރުންގެ ކިބައިގައި އިސްލާމީ ރިވެތި އަޚްލާޤާއި އިސްލާމީ އަގުތައް އަށަގެންނެވުމަށްޓަކައި، އެކަމަށް ޚާއްޞަކުރެވިފައިވާ މޮޑިއުލެއް ހިމެނޭނެއެވެ.
