As-salaamu aleikum, and a very warm welcome to the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Studies (KEM) of the Islamic University of Maldives. 

The aim of our Kulliyyah is to become a premier business school in the Maldives by integrating conventional economic, business and finance including Islamic banking with values and morality based on Islamic beliefs and values. 

Though our Kulliyyah was recently established in 2019, we are already offering 4 Bachelor especially Bachelor of Islamic Banking and Finance which is the only of its kind available in the Maldives and which is highly demanded since students who complete it have high possibility of getting jobs in the banking industry. In addition, we are also offering Bachelor of Local Governance and Administration, highly beneficial targeted to increase the capacity of the local governance structure in Maldives. Similarly, we have also recently introduced Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Human Resource Management and we have respective Diplomas in the field.

KEM is committed to provide excellent education as our curriculum is reflect recent developments in business and finance discipline, as well as stakeholder expectations and we are working to introduce new programs in affiliation with international university and centres

Our commitment to exceptional student experience begins with our staff who are competent and highly experienced in the industry and is striving to enhance students’ academic excellence. We are also striving to improve the quality of teaching by integrating real life business and finance issues via practical training and sessions so that they are ready for immediate employability within Maldives and abroad.
